Swenson did not just write poetry. For example, she published a short story in her high school newspaper, and an experimental one-act play of hers was produced in New York City. She wrote many fiction pieces and autobiographical essays, and others that are more hybrid. Thanks to a recent donation by Carole Berglie, we have more unpublished prose pieces by Swenson in the collection than we already had. The items on this page are drafts toward published essays. Swenson also kept drafts toward her many introductions of other poets, three of which are included here.
