Drafts, Publications and Awards
In 2016, Button Poetry published Aaron Coleman’s poetry chapbook, St. Trigger, and in 2018, Four Way Books published his book of poetry, Threat Come Close. Coleman kept earlier manuscript versions begun during his MFA, and revised during his third-year fellowship and into his first years of the PhD program. In 2017, his work appeared in the New York Times Magazine. He also went on to receive a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in 2021—some of the poems submitted for the NEA are forthcoming in his next book. In addition, he is the recipient of fellowships from the J. William Fulbright Program, the Cave Canem Foundation, and the American Literary Translators Association. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Critical Translation Studies at the University of Michigan.
