Breaking and Entering

A novel that expanded two short stories, "Breakfast" (published in Esquire) and "Making Friends" (published in The Paris Review), and went through at least two title changes ("Willie and Liberty"; "Along the Gulf"), Breaking and Entering saw Williams' return to long fiction after a decade. We have a box of index cards with notes, a heavily corrected bound manuscript version, a beach version of the book, and a script reading invitatation after it was adapted into a screenplay.
