Bang’s creative life is part of a larger community with fellow poets, editors, mentors, and friends. While solitary creation plays a role with hours spent working on a poem, a manuscript, or a translation, Bang’s work is situated in a network of fellow practitioners. Early in her career, these collaborations often occurred over mail, but they now also occur via email and text, leaving a more ephemeral trace.
