Letter from Poets Outloud
Letter from Poets Outloud, 1995
Frank Boyle, PhD, thanks Bang for agreeing to read from her work at Poets Out Loud, an organization dedicated to poetry performance at Fordham College at Lincoln Center in New York City. Boyle was a professor of English at Fordham University and founded Poets Out Loud in 1992. He explains that the organization’s mission is “an attempt to give poetry an established place for performance at New York City’s Center for the Performing Arts.” Lincoln Center is a performing‑arts center on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, housing institutions such as the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic, the Juilliard School, and the New York City Ballet, among others.
