The artist recalls her experience of the COVID-19 pandemic from March, 2020 through November, 2021 as a student at Washington University in St. Louis, unable to go home to China. She creates a series of postcards to send to her family in Chengdu, chronicling her daily life and depicting the loneliness of a campus in lockdown with stark pen-and-ink drawings. The Artist book contains 14 illustrated postcards along with the Title card, all of them are tied with twine and laid in a cardboard gift box.
